Two pens. Two of the most important and treasured pens we own. Two pens, where every time we look at them they remind us of all that we accomplished, where we are right now, and what our future holds.
What the what? C'mon, seriously? Why? How? Dude, they're... pens.
These two pens, these handmade works of art were gifts to us to use when we closed on our new home and studio in Kittery, ME last week.
Well that's nice and all, but they're still just pens. Right?
These handmade treasures were crafted from the wood that was used on our house. The same piece of lumber that holds up our roof. These pens were made from wood lying in the scrap pile of our house during construction. Every time we use these pens, we're reminded of the hard work and dedication it took to get us to where we are at today.
Those pens are worthy of their name... pens.
A special thanks to our brother, Tyler, for this amazing gift. And a huge shout out to C.R. Keen Woodworking for the outstanding craftsmanship.
