What A Southern New Hampshire Wedding Should Look Like

I know you’ve heard us mention how many of our awesome couples’ families welcome us and make us feel like we’re part of the family. And we are lucky enough to have the best couples in the world, so each week it seems like our family is growing and growing. However, it happened in an astounding way last week at Jon & Abby’s wedding.
Let’s back up a minute…
You probably remember the GORGEOUS destination wedding of Rick & Shannon from last year. The one where we traveled to the Dominican Republic and were immediately absorbed into their families…you can refresh your memory here: Destination Wedding In Punta Cana
So among all the other awesome things and incredible people from that wedding, we met Rick’s brother, Jon & his fiancé Abby, and we all knew instantly that this relationship was special and that we would definitely be photographing their wedding.
Jump back to present day and it’s finally time for Jon & Abby to tie the knot. Now, we knew this would be a great day because we’d get to see Jon’s family again, we’d get to meet Abby’s family, and we’d get to see Rick & Shannon (and their new baby!) But what we were not quite prepared for was the genuine excitement and warmth their families showered us with when we arrived. It was truly humbling that these people who we met for just a few days over a year ago, who are there to celebrate Jon & Abby’s wedding, would make sure that we felt so welcomed and loved. Shannon’s father gave us the biggest hugs. Abby’s mom even baked us an apple crisp! As I said – truly humbling.
But enough about how much we love their families…let’s talk about Jon & Abby’s perfect fall wedding! Fall is Abby’s favorite season, and they wanted to celebrate at home with their closest friends & family, so they turned their backyard into a festive autumn scene and invited everyone to their home to celebrate.
It was a bit chilly, but the love between Jon & Abby, and the love and joy shared by their families and friends kept everyone warm (well, that and the bonfire that was roaring!) We even got Jon’s Harley out for a few photos.

Jon & Abby, your day was perfect. We are truly honored to have been able to capture it for you. We feel so thankful to call you friends.
And a special thanks to Shannon, for finding us on The Knot and bringing us all together!
